30 mph over the speed limit on a Ruckus. Down Old Quarry Road on Sorin’s Bluff.

Riding off-road on Trenton Island because Island Road is unrideable, due to large cracks the width of the road at regular intervals, and potholes. Just off the road is a sandy strip about a foot wide. It’s smooth and expeditious and fun but not without unseen peril, such as this board on the side of the road:

183 mph.

At nine seconds I’m pelted by flying debris. Later identified as a large leaf. Falling foliage:

From Bay Point Park to Levee Park to downtown, into the mist.
