This is part of the third of four legs of an early morning scooter ride from Arden Hills to Red Wing, about an hour after sunrise. The ride began in darkness, in a light rain, eastbound on Highway 96, around the north shore of White Bear Lake, to Stillwater. I watched the sunrise from the waterfront in downtown Stillwater.
Another hellacious ride. This one featured some precision steering. This shows the peril of a 50cc scooter on a 50-mph two-lane highway with no shoulder, riding the mirror and the white line, where the rubber barely meets the road. I was forced to pull over for faster traffic a few times; first at 1:17, then at 5:30, and again at 7:20.
This is the entire third segment. St. Croix Trail from Lake St. Croix Beach, through Afton and Prescott, to the Great River Road Visitor Center.
This is the entire trip, completed in just under four hours.
